To show a reading, the app sends a cell ID: a label for an area about 150 m across, computed on the phone. Your coordinates never leave the phone. When contribution is enabled, it also sends anonymous departure events, each a cell ID and a timestamp. No device identifiers, user accounts, location history, or personal data is collected.
Open Settings and toggle "Contribute departure signals" off. The app continues to show pressure readings — contribution is optional and independent from reading. When contribution is off, no departure events are sent; the app still sends your cell ID to fetch the reading.
Email support@neurometer.app with a description of the issue. Include your device model and Android version if relevant.
No signal means there are no contributing devices in your area. Readings require nearby contributors to generate departure data. This is the system working correctly — Neurometer prefers silence over guessing.
