Neurometer
Real-time departure pressure signals
See whether people are leaving an area — not whether a place is free.
Neurometer is an instrument that visualizes departure pressure in real time.
It detects when people leave a zone, not how many are there. A high reading
means many departures — it says nothing about availability or occupancy.
Neurometer does not measure people, minds, emotions, or intent — it measures
environments only.
For example: a parking lot empties after an event — pressure spikes.
A mall is busy but nobody is leaving yet — pressure stays low.
The reading reflects flow out of an area, not crowd size.
Readings require contributing devices nearby. In areas with no contributors,
the instrument shows "No Signal" — this is normal and expected in most places.
Neurometer works best in dense urban areas and around transit hubs.
How It Works
- Contributing devices share anonymous departure signals — no location history, no identity
- Signals are aggregated into real-time pressure readings for nearby areas
- An ambient status icon shows current conditions at a glance
No Signal— no data available for this area
Low— minimal activity detected
Rising— activity is increasing
High Activity— significant movement in the area
What Neurometer Is Not
- Not a tracking or surveillance system
- Not an availability or occupancy indicator — departure pressure does not tell you if a place is free
- Not a navigation, recommendation, or prediction engine
- Not a safety system — it augments awareness, does not replace it
Data & Privacy
- No accounts or sign-up required
- No location history stored
- No personal data collected or shared
- Signals are anonymous and ephemeral
- Read-only instrument — it shows pressure, not people
